Session Title: "Transformational Media- behind the scenes of eTown’s musical, social and environmental programming" 

Session Description: You may know eTown as the nationally syndicated, weekly radio show, but we’re so much more! Join us for a behind the scenes tour of eTown Hall, the greenest multimedia and events production facility in the U.S. eTown Hall hosts the 24-year-old radio broadcast as well as 200 events per year that reflect the organization’s pillars of music, ideas and community. Get an inside look at eTown’s world-class media hub, from the recording studio to the concert hall, and all the solar panels, video cameras and fiber optic cables in between. Plus—meet eTown’s founders and co-hosts, Nick and Helen Forster. Come learn more about media with a mission!  

Session Title:  "Connection + Community"

Session Description: In a ‘real food culture,’ everyone knows where food comes from and how it is made. The Kitchen is a unique combination of non-profit (The Kitchen Community) and for-profit enterprises (The Kitchen restaurants). The Kitchen Community non-profit paves the way for change and creates immediate and long-lasting impact. The Kitchen family of restaurants provide sustainability, demonstrate long-term commitment and, in turn, donate a portion of the proceeds to the non-profit.

This session will look at the humble beginnings of The Kitchen when it opened as Boulder's Community Bistro eleven years ago in 2004 and what it strives for today in multiple cities with multiple concepts that are working in tandem to systematically enhance every part of the food culture in cities by creating community through food.

Session Title: "Community Cycles: Nonprofit Social Enterprise"

Session Description: Community Cycles is a nonprofit bike co-op and advocacy organization. Our funding comes from a variety of sources including our retail shop that sells used bikes and new and used parts, membership, donations, grants, events, and contracts. We will discuss how that works and how Community Cycles has become a model of success in its field.
